Bio

I was born and brought up in Bolton which in those days was in Lancashire but I have travelled quite a lot in my life.

I joined the WRAF in 1976 and never really looked back after that.I didn’t get to travel abroad but I travelled the UK and I also met my husband, John, while I was serving. We both left the service in 1979.

We lived in Manchester for five years and then, in 1984, we moved to Germany, with John’s job, and spent seven very happy years there. John worked for the airline Dan Air at the time and they had the route from Saarbruecken to Berlin. We lived in Saarland which is a stunningly beautiful part of the country. I worked for Berlitz teaching English as a Foreign Language.

In 1991 we returned to the UK and lived in Brighton. I studied for a degree and a post graduate teaching diploma and continued to teach English until I retired. We remained in Brighton until John sadly passed awsay in 2010 and I eventually moved back north and settled in Southport. Nowadays, I divide my time between the UK and Gran Canaria.
