I admit to buying this book out of pure curiosity. However I found it captivating and very interesting. It is written so well you almost live the moment and hear Alans voice.
For the price of a magazine you are missing out on many smiles if you don’t treat yourself – so go on, do yourself a favour!

Big Al – what a guy! A friend for several decades. He has certainly lived life ‘to the full’. Always has a positive outlook on life, will always be young at heart, never defeated in any challenge and this shines through in the biography. Well done – a great read.

‘Unputdownable.’
‘An endearing scally.’
A captivating story of a gigging musician. A time when, for those who have lived through this period, for those that can relate to such stories, then priceless.
The high’s, the low’s, the fun times. Any musician that can recall the mid 60’s going forwards, then a pretty essential read. Worth six quid of your hard earned.
